NAWHO Featured in CDC Monograph on Violence Prevention June 1, 2008 - NAWHO was one of 10 demonstration projects funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2000 to develop, implement, and evaluate culturally competent intimate partner violence and sexual violence prevention strategies. CDC has just released a new publication, Preventing Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Violence in Racial/Ethnic Minority Communities: CDC's Demonstration Projects, which summarizes the work of the funded projects.
