NAWHO Partner Event - Women's Health Symposium in New York City

The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center will convene its 5th Annual Women's Health Symposium - Life in Balance: Mind, Body, and Soul on June 27, 2008. The event will be held at the NYC School of Medicine from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

NAWHO Featured in CDC Monograph on Violence Prevention

June 1, 2008 - NAWHO was one of 10 demonstration projects funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2000 to develop, implement, and evaluate culturally competent intimate partner violence and sexual violence prevention strategies.  CDC has just released a new publication, Preventing Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Violence in Racial/Ethnic Minority Communities: CDC's Demonstration Projects, which summarizes the work of the funded projects.

NAWHO Releases Violence Prevention Curriculum

NAWHO is pleased to announce the release of “Breaking the Silence: Preventing Violence Against Asian American Women,” a three-module curriculum intended to promote communication among Asian American women college students and campus staff about sexual violence and intimate partner violence.
